We drove to “1000 Islands” and took a ferry to the Heart shaped Island. The castle was built in the late 19th century by this super rich guy who gave it to his wife.
The whole island is heart shaped! Imagine that massive project back then! The sad part is that the wife died one year after the big project was finished.Maurizio on the balcony

Inside the castleThe lady’s chamberVanity!Luxury!Heavenly.Rich people mark their stuff! So did Zorn.Cupola from the top The pool. Cute eh? Some parts of the house were unfinished though. The very fancy couple Boldt. The Boldt couple again + kids. I love her stylish riding outfit!I love old pictures in general.Me in one of the unfinished rooms on the top floor.
The house he built for his mother-in-law on the closest (and also smallest!) island to the house. Talk about squeezing in as much living space on a small area as possible.Me and Jacqueline chillin’ on the lawn. Lovely dog days!
